This charming residential property with extensive gardens and sea views has been sensitively restored and extended to provide a large holiday home. The Client was keen to adopt low carbon technologies and BCA were appointed to design the engineering services.
Heating and hot water are provided by 3 no. 15kW air source heat pumps carefully concealed in the gardens and screened to prevent noise disturbance. Heating in the house consists of underfloor heating on all floors supplemented with high efficiency radiators where necessary. The system also provides year-round heating to the large outdoor swimming pool. Lighting was developed in conjunction with the Interior Designer and a ‘state of the art’ home management system with touch screens in all major rooms has been installed.
The Clients are delighted with their wonderful holiday home.
